Using Images

It is a good idea to add an image or two to any blog post or web page that you create.
On your blog on WordPress.com, there is an option to upload images straight from your computer when you write a new post:

Or you can insert an image that already exists on the Web by clicking on the image button:

It is important to be sure that you are legally permitted to use the images that you choose. This will depend on the image's license. Apart from any legal issues, using other people's images without permission is generally looked down on by other web users. Fortunately, there are many images available that the creators specifically permit

Uploading Music on Ourmedia

Ourmedia.org is a website where you can upload music, video and other media. You can then link to your media on your blog.

To get started, make an account on Archive.org - your Ourmedia files will actually be stored on Archive.org. You will not need to go back to Archive.org again, but you do need to register on it.

To start uploading, click on the publish my media link on the left-hand side of the page:

If you did not link to your Archive.org account when you registered on Ourmedia.org, you will be reminded the first time you try to upload. Watch out for any errors or warnings at the top of the page. For more information on uploading to Ourmedia, see their Guide To Publishing.

Once you have uploaded an audio or video file, add a link to a new post on your blog so that readers of your blog can directly hear your music. For an example, see this post on Premasagar's blog.
